Boardwalk Hall Organ Tours
Ongoing | $20.00 (Students & Children Admitted Free) | Boardwalk Hall | acchos.org
The Atlantic City Convention Hall Organ
Society, in association with
Boardwalk Hall and with the kind co-operation and permission of its
management, is pleased to offer guided tours of the Midmer-Losh and
Kimball organs. The instruments have one thing in common; they were all designed by Emerson Lewis Richards (1884-1963). Richards was a native of Atlantic City and State Senator for Atlantic County. Although politics was his profession, pipe organs were his passion and pre-occupation. He described himself as an "Organ Architect" and, over the years, had some 80 articles published in organ journals, mainly The American Organist. As a result of his design ideas and the practical demonstrations thereof, his influence extended far beyond Atlantic City, and he has been described as "the Commander-in-Chief of the American Revolution in Organ Building".
Boardwalk Hall organ tours are available on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Continuing to grow its success year after year, last year’s Operation Help campaign provided over 30 18-ft truckloads of clothing, food and toys for local families in need and raised thousands in cash donations. Past sponsors and regional supporters have included NBC 40, The Press of Atlantic City, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Trump Taj Mahal, Resorts Atlantic City, The Hub and McAllister, as well as area schools, police and fire departments. The Operation Help initiative was founded by Reilly and Borsello four years ago as a way to give back to local folks who need help – especially during the holidays.
