Brian Regan

February 11, 2012  |  8:00 PM  |  $42.50  |  Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa  |  609.317.1000

imageCritics and peers agree, Brian Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country. The perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Brian fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations.

Releasing two critically acclaimed hour Comedy Central specials and DVD's in as many years – 2008's "The Epitome of Hyperbole," and 2007's "Brian Regan Standing Up" – Brian has set a standard of excellence that others continually try to follow.

Brian's non-stop theater tour has visited more than 80 cities each year since 2005 and continues into 2009. It is the quality of his material, relatable to a wide audience and revered by his peers, which continues to grow Brian's fan base.

With his first appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 1995, Brian solidified his place on the show and recently made his 20th appearance. He also includes regular visits to "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on his schedule.

A dorm room favorite, Brian's 1997 CD, "Brian Regan Live," has sold over 150,000 copies and consistently charts in iTunes Top Ten Comedy Albums. Brian's 2000 "Comedy Central Presents" special continues to be a top viewer choice and Brian's independently released 2004 DVD, "I Walked on the Moon," is available at BrianRegan.com.

Lisa Lampanelli

February 19, 2012  |  8:00 PM  |  $49.50, $55.50 & $59.50  |  Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa  |  609.317.1000

imageLisa Lampanelli is Comedy's Lovable Queen of Mean. Heralded as "more than a standup -- a standout," by comedy legend Jim Carrey, Lampanelli is a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker, and a vial of estrogen. She has won accolades from The King of All Media Howard Stern, who called her "a true original and a brilliant comedy mind who'll steal the show every time.'

This equal opportunity offender is a regular on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and Howard Stern's Sirius satellite radio shows. And she has appeared on "Lopez Tonight", "Chelsea Lately", and "Jimmy Kimmel Live". Her 2011 Comedy Central special, 'Tough Love,' follows in the tradition of Lisa's previous one-hour specials by featuring her pulling-no-punches insult comedy and in-your-face humor.

In 2009, Lisa joined the ranks of comic greats and premiered her first ever one-hour HBO comedy special, "Long Live the Queen," to tremendous ratings. That same year, her autobiography, "Chocolate, Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat and Freaks," hit bookstores to critical acclaim. As a writer, Lisa also pens the monthly Women column in Playboy magazine.

Lisa's rise to the top of the comedy food chain began in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on the NY Friars Club Roast on Comedy Central. She soon became one of the few white comedians to perform on BET's "Comic View," cementing her huge crossover appeal. A year later, she rocked Comedy Central once again in her back-to-back appearances on "Premium Blend" and on the enormously rated "Roast of Jeff Foxworthy" -- again, the only female invited to roast the man of honor.

Lisa appeared on Comedy Central's "Last Laugh 2005" and her headlining performances on the Comedy Central roasts of Pamela Anderson and William Shatner, among others, received national attention. Lisa's 2005 one-hour special, "Take It Like a Man," was a hit with the comedy network yet again, and the CD and the DVD of the same name hit #6 on the comedy charts. Then, in January 2007, Lisa's second one-hour special, "Dirty Girl," debuted on Comedy Central and Warner Bros. Records, and reached #4 on the charts. Soon thereafter, "Dirty Girl" was nominated for a Grammy Award for 2007's Best Comedy Album of the Year.

Lisa has also taped several specials for VH1, MTV, and CMT, and was featured on the "Best of" episode of Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." Known for saying things that most people are afraid to think, Lisa Lampanelli's raunchy, gut-busting performances are wildly popular at theaters across the U.S. and Canada. And her roasts of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Flavor Flav, and Gene Simmons, plus her turn as roastmaster on the Comedy Central Roast of Larry the Cable Guy are the stuff of which legends are made.

Also this year, Lisa was thrilled to be cast as Aunt Josie in the highly anticipated feature film debut from "Sopranos" creator David Chase. She has also appeared on the big screen in Judd Apatow's "Drillbit Taylor", starring Owen Wilson, and "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" and "Delta Farce", with her buddy Larry. She also starred in the feature film, "The Aristocrats", based on the joke of the same name.

Robert Klein

April 14, 2012  |  8:00 PM  |  $35.00, $45.00  |  Landis Theatre  |  landistheatre.com

imageThe Landis Theater has announced the Robert Klein show scheduled for Saturday, September 10th has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts caused by Hurricane Irene.

The new date will be Saturday April 14th at 8:00 PM.

Tickets for the September 10, 2011 show will be honored on the new date.

The Landis Theater Performing Arts Center is proud to present an evening of musical comedy and political satire on September 10, 2011 when Robert Klein takes the stage. Regarded as a pioneer of observational comedy and cutting edge political humor, Robert Klein is a master of timing, phrasing, and vocal agility. His acclaimed career spans comedy, theater, television, and film.

Tickets for Robert Klein are $35.00 and $45.00. A very limited number of Club Level tickets, which include bar and food service, will also be available. Tickets can be purchased on-line, at the Box Office, or by calling 856-691-1121.

For more than forty years, Robert Klein has entertained audiences, and he continues to have an acclaimed career in comedy, on Broadway, on television, and in film.

Born in the Bronx, he was a member of the famed “Second City” theatrical troupe in Chicago. He was nominated twice for Grammy Awards for “Best Comedy Album of the Year” for his albums “Child of the Fifties” and “Mind Over Matter.”

He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor, and won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the hit Neil Simon musical, “They’re Playing Our Song.” In 1993, Klein won an Obie and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in Wendy Wasserstein’s, “The Sisters Rosensweig.”

In 1975, Klein was the first comedian to appear in a live concert on Home Box Office. He has gone on to do nine one-man shows for HBO.

Klein released “Robert Klein: The HBO Specials 1975-2005,” a collector’s DVD box set to critical acclaim.

His most recent special for HBO, “Robert Klein: Unfair and Unbalanced” aired on June 12th, 2010 and is also available as a DVD.

Among dozens of starring and guest-starring roles on television, he co-starred in the hit NBC series, “Sisters,” and recently has a recurring guest-starring role on “Law and Order.” He regularly appears on talk-shows, making more than 100 appearances on “The Tonight Show” and “Late Show with David Letterman” alone.

Klein has also appeared in many notable films including, “Hooper,” “The Owl and the Pussycat,” “Primary Colors,” “People I Know,” “Two Weeks Notice,” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” and “The Back-Up Plan” with Jennifer Lopez.

“The Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue,” his first book for Simon & Schuster, is an affectionate coming-of-age memoir about growing up in the ‘50s and ‘60s before embarking on a show business career. In it he recounts his journey from an apartment in the Bronx, developing his talent in Chicago and the beginning of his show business stardom. The book is pure Robert Klein: witty, honest, self-questioning and always contagiously funny. Publishers Weekly wrote: "...he unfurls an array of captivating anecdotes, writing with wry wit and honesty."

Robert, a lifelong New Yorker, makes his home in Westchester and New York City.

The Landis Theatre is located at 830 E Landis Avenue in Vineland. Phone 856.691.1121.
